Without Lions Turner, Rieseck, and ZC MacWho to whip the crowd into a frenzy, it was a laid back meeting.
Without Lion Turner we guessed at how much money we have, but it didn't stop us from sending in the money for the 500 Club, authorizing payment of $150 for the Little Beaver Challenge, and $500 to sponsor a camper to Beacon Lodge.

As soon as Lion Dave gets home, Lion Olayer said he could borrow a tank of oxygen and a defibrillator from the hospital, and we could stop by his house and have him make out the checks.
Lion Rieseck wasn't there to receive the letter from Little Beaver concerning the Rose Sale so we told them it would be possibly 500 or 600 dozen since we needed additional funds for the year. Gee, I hope that Lion Rieseck was thinking in terms that big. We would hate to upset him. Anyway, We'll turn over the information to Lion Rieseck at the next meeting and he can sort out the numbers.
I attempted to have ZC MacWho take over the selling of the extra shirts and hats, but he was too smart to fall for that. (I must be losing my touch). So if you need a shirt or a hat, let the secretary know, and he'll fix you up. We have 2 hats ($10 each) and three Large T-shirts ($8 each) and one Large Polo shirt ($18) ready to be purchased.
We will have the second reading of the officers for 2009-2010 at the next meeting, then complete the reading in March and turn in the names to the district and International.
Be sure to put aside a set of clean underwear for the next meeting. We will not only have the student of the month, Katie Fahlgren and her parents, but Lions from Monaca-Center are planning on a visitation. (Calm MacWho, they are supposed to get me the number before the weekend.)
Fund raising idea... Community flea market at the Municipal Building........sell spots??
