At the first meeting we had a report on the Lion's picnic. Great job by KL Hendry, Lion Lamey and Lion Bouril.

The budget for the year was established at the first meeting.

We entered two horses at the Night at the Race with the West Mayfield VFD.
Hoof Harted is again representing our club, although when we had Lion Miller look at him running, she said she didn't see much hope. This is what she saw..... You judge.
Now we know why Lion Don got such a good deal on him.
We also entered "Dave's Hope" as a second chance. Lion Miller thought "Dave's Hope" would definitely make a run for the money!

This Wednesday, September 16, there is a combination Zone and Region meeting at the Lighthouse at 6:30 in New Brighton. Officers should try to attend. The ZC and RC will have as special guests representing Camp Kon-o-Kwee Spencer. They will present a brief overview of how their special programs help the blind, sight-impaired and a host of other serious physical issues that confront some children. The Zone Chairmen and I will try to summerize of District Governor Evan Punchard for the upcoming year. We need to hear from you about any special projects we should attack during this year.

Lion Rieseck reports that the broom sale (and presale by Lions Hegner and Verbosky) was a success. We are currently out of brooms, the closet is empty, nothing in the van, and Lion Ray is a happy Lion. Thanks to the Lions who showed up to sell. A job well done.

Our next fundraiser is White Cane Days. October 2,3,4 at Wal Mart
Mark it on your schedule so you aren't taken by surprise.Lion Don is already in training.

This Thursday is the District Governor's visitation.
This is a night to make sure you are at the meeting and wearing the green. So, clean up and get to the meeting.
